What is AFM lifter failure on a GMC Sierra or Yukon?
Many GMC V8s use Active Fuel Management to shut off cylinders for fuel economy. The special lifters can fail — causing a tick, a misfire and camshaft damage if ignored.

We replace the failed lifters and can do the permanent fix: non-AFM hardware plus a PCM recalibration so the computer matches.
Why is my Acadia showing a cam timing code?
On 2007–2012 Acadias with the 3.6L V6, timing chain stretch triggers cam timing codes.
